FormsGen vs Pipiform
Their app does more than ours. What each costs, where each wins, and when you should buy theirs instead.
Pipiform is the most established name in this corner of the market, and any honest comparison has to start by saying that its iOS app does more things than ours does.
Countdown timers, email notifications, scheduling and PDF export exist there today and do not exist here. If one of them is why you are reading this page, you can stop reading and go and buy theirs. We would rather lose the sale than have you discover it after paying.
Where the two actually diverge
Two differences are worth the comparison.
The first is how you pay. Pipiform’s iOS app is a yearly subscription at $59.99, with a three-day trial and no one-time option listed. FormsGen is $49.99 a year, or $89.99 once. If you expect to still be making forms in two years, those are very different numbers.
The second is what each app is built around. Pipiform is a management tool: it does a great deal to a form that already exists. FormsGen is a creation tool: its two ways in are a sentence you type and a sheet of paper you photograph, with the text read on the device rather than sent anywhere.
A note on their add-ons
Several capabilities people associate with Pipiform are separate Google Workspace add-ons rather than parts of the iOS app, each with its own price. That is not a criticism, it is how their catalogue is built, and it matters when you are comparing a single subscription against another single subscription.

Pick Pipiform if
You need a countdown timer, email notifications, scheduling, or PDF export. Pipiform has those today and FormsGen does not. No amount of positioning changes that, and you should buy the app that does the job you actually have.
