Why this exists
Google publishes an iPhone app for Docs, for Sheets, for Slides, for Drive, for Keep and for Classroom. It has never published one for Forms. Everything here follows from that gap.
Plenty of people build forms in Google Forms and then discover that editing one on a phone means pinching around a laptop interface. It works. It is slow enough that you give up and wait until you are back at a desk, which is how some forms end up never being made at all.
FormsGen is the app we built for that gap. You describe the form in a sentence, or photograph one that already exists on paper, and it writes a real Google Form into your own Drive. Not an imitation, not a copy that syncs later: the actual thing, in your account, from the first second.
Who builds it
FormsGen is built by Nice Express, the company named in our privacy policy and terms, and the app is developed by Yassine Jaa. It is a small team, which is why you will find an email address on the contact page rather than a support portal, and why the person who answers is the person who wrote the code.
Four things we decided early
Your forms and responses stay in your Google account. Not as a promise, as an architecture: the app creates the form in your own Drive, and the responses collect in Google Forms, never on a server of ours. Delete the app tomorrow and every form you made is still in your account. Many hosted form builders keep your questions and your respondents’ answers on their own servers and offer you an export if you leave; we never hold them in the first place. What the app does send or keep is short and listed in the privacy policy: the text you type for the AI goes to Google’s Gemini API to write the questions, and we keep your account and subscription status, with usage and crash reports.
We say what the app does not do. Read our comparison with Pipiform and you will find, in the second paragraph, a list of things their app has and ours does not, followed by a suggestion to buy theirs if that is what you need. Read our export guides and you will find the manual method explained in full, whether or not you ever install anything.
We do not publish numbers we cannot source. You will notice there is no star rating anywhere on this site, and no user count. The previous version of this page claimed both. We removed them because we could not point at where they came from. When the App Store has enough ratings to show a real one, we will show that one.
Our fonts and assets are served from this site. No CDN, no third-party fonts, no share buttons that drop a tracker on you for reading a page, and no advertising trackers. The one outside service is Google Analytics, loaded according to your region and your choice in the cookie banner, as the website privacy policy explains. The QR code generator computes the code in your own browser: the link you paste is never sent to us or to anyone else.
What we are working on
More free tools that solve one problem each, more guides that answer a question properly whether or not the answer involves us, and more of the app itself. If something here is wrong, out of date, or missing, the fastest way to fix it is to tell us.
